God’s Mighty Power

When I heard that this was my topic I immediately thought of the Apostle Paul.  In Acts chapter 22 you hear Saul tell his story

The first thing that came to my mind was Saul.  Saul was a man who persecuted the church who persecuted Christians.  (Acts 22) you get to hear about Saul’s live turning around you can see where God decided to work through him.  Acts 22:6-8 can you imagine how crazy that would be to just hear a voice out of nowhere. I know that I couldn’t acts 9- so not only is this a crazy experience but everyone around him is just like who’s this crazy dude.  As you continue on you see Saul was told to arise and go into Damascus, and there you will be told and things which are appointed for you to do.

Do a review of acts 22

Imagine how hard that was for Paul to turn around from persecuting God to following him.  That is a big lifestyle change he had to leave everything behind. Everything!  But God’s mighty power can turn anyone’s life around

David was a man who committed adultery with Bathsheba.  But when confronted he owned what he did he didn’t try to blame it on anyone else he could have easily said oh well she shouldn’t have been bathing in the open or my servants shouldn’t have brought her to me but in 2 Samuel 12:13 is says

“So David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.”  And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die.”

But even with all this David was a man after God’s own heart Acts 13:22 says

“I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.”

How awesome is that to be known for all eternity as a man after God’s own heart!
